Introduction
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of Ombo Technologies (Private) Limited , including all of its affiliated companies (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”) and governs your use of our software Application named “eDrops” (hereinafter referred to as “Application”) once you have downloaded a copy of the Application onto your mobile, computer, smartphone, laptop or any other device (“Device”) along with any Application updates, supplements, functionalities, features, internet-based services, and support or other related services (“Services”).
This Privacy Policy contains details about how we collect, use, and share Personal Information that we obtain from and about you when you interact with us via the Application, via email, and through other online and offline interactions. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.
Sources of Personal Information
“Personal Information” or “Personal Data” refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person or household.
We collect information about you and how you interact with us in several ways, including:
a. User Provided Information
You may not be able to use our Application or Services unless you are registered with us. When you are registering with us, you shall provide us with:
- I. Identity data such as your name, resident address, telephone number, email address, username, password, and other registration information when you create an account using the Application;
- II. information you provide us when you contact us for support and assistance; and
- III. any other information you enter when using the Application.
b. Automatically Collected Information
The Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to;
- I. Data on your Device and Device identifiers such as the type of Device you use, your Device’s unique Device ID, the IP address of your Device, your operating system, the type of internet browsers you use, data from Device settings, diagnostic data, browsing preferences, cart and purchase history and other information about the way you use the Application through your Device;
- II. location data as collected by the Device or as otherwise entered by you. The use of the location data serves only to provide the respective functionality of our Application;
- III. access to certain features and applications from your mobile device, with your permission, including your mobile device’s:
- a. camera for the purpose of obtaining real time images;
- b. storage for the purpose of offline data recording; and
- c. cGPS location for the purpose of ascertaining your geolocation
- IV. data and communications in order to provide customer support such as an email with information relating to the Application performance or other issues
c. Cookies & Tracking Data
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Application and hold certain information.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your Device. The information stored can include, for example, the language settings on a website, the login status or a shopping basket. The term “cookies” also includes other technologies that fulfil the same functions as cookies (e.g. if user information is stored using pseudonymous online identifiers, also referred to as “user IDs”).
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Product. Otherwise, the data processed with the help of cookies will be processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. in a business operation of our online service and its improvement) or, if the use of cookies is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations.

- I. Session Cookies. We use Session Cookies to operate our Products.
- II. Preference Cookies. We use Preference Cookies to remember your preferences and various settings.
- III. Security Cookies. We use Security Cookies for security purposes
- IV. Statistics, marketing and personalisation Cookies: We use Statistics, marketing and personalisation Cookies to measure our Application’s reach and when a user’s interests or behaviour (e.g. viewing certain content, using functions, etc.) are stored on individual user profiles. Such profiles are used, for example, to display content to users that corresponds to their potential interests. This procedure is also referred to as “tracking”, i.e. tracking the potential interests of users. Tracking technologies such as beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Application.
Lawful Bases for Collecting, Processing and Storing your Personal Information
We collect, process and store your Personal Information by relying on one or more of the following lawful bases:
- a. You have provided your consent at the point of registration for us to do so, by accepting our Terms and Conditions;
- b. Processing your Personal Data in the way explained herein is necessary for us to provide our Services.
- c. Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal or statutory obligation to which we are subject.
- d. Processing is necessary for the purposes of pursuing our legitimate interests.
We require your Personal Information and consent to use your Personal Information in order to deliver our Services and without this we will not be able to provide our Services to you. However, we shall not access any other Personal Information except the information required/derived through the Application.
Sharing Your Information
We will not share your Personal Information with any third party unless we have your consent or under the following circumstances where it is lawful to do so:
- a. when there is a necessity to provide you with Services such as to share your Personal Information to third party service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, for payment processing, where third party cloud service providers will store data or to contact You:
- b. when we have a legitimate business reason for doing so;
- c. in the event we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of all or some of our assets;
- d. when we have a legal obligation to do so or if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process to protect the safety of any person; address fraud, security, or technical issues; or protect our rights or the rights of those who use our Services by assisting with detecting and preventing fraud, regulatory reporting, litigation or asserting or defending legal rights and interests.
Securing Your Personal Information
We are committed to protecting your Personal Information in our possession. We shall take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate physical, technical, and managerial safeguards are in place to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, alteration, transmission, and deletion. We ensure that third-parties who provide services to us under appropriate agreements take appropriate security measures to protect your Personal Information in line with our policies.
Period of Storage
We will retain and store Personal Information of you as long as you use the Application and Services. When we have no ongoing legitimate need to process your Personal Information, we will delete your information within one (1) month of you uninstalling the Application and terminating our Services. If this is not possible for reasons beyond our control, then we will securely store your Personal Information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
We store Personal Information for as long as necessary for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Condition, including to provide our Services or for other legitimate purposes, such as complying with legal obligations, enforcing and preventing violations of our Terms and Conditions, or protecting or defending our rights, property and users. The retention of your Personal Information is determined on a case-by-case basis that depends on factors like the nature of the information, why it was collected and processed, relevant legal or operational retention needs, and legal obligations.

When interacting with us you may encounter links to external sites or other online services, including those embedded in third party advertisements or sponsor information, that we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and data collection policies for such third party services. You should consult the privacy statements of those third party services for details.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We keep our Privacy Policy under regular review, and we will update the same without any notification to you. It is your responsibility to periodically review our Privacy Policy to stay informed of such changes. Any information We collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time it is collected. By continuing to access or use the Application and our Services after any changes come into effect, you are agreeing to the revised Privacy Policy. If any of the changes are unacceptable to you, you should cease interacting with us.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy will be governed and construed under the laws of Sri Lanka without regard to conflict of laws. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts located in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
